What you see is ease-of-use (and that differs by vehicle and person installing it). In addition, Consumer Reports has been known to install their test car seats wrong and has retracted some of their reports when there was an uproar over how they did/didn't install and test. I use them for washing machines, lawn mowers etc. NOT for car seats. Find a car seat tech (or Child Passenger Safety Technician) to guide you. There's an awesome group here: https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/CarSeatsForTheLittles/

Btw, I've heard Britax have pretty high levels of brominated flame retardants and Diono Radians have one of the lowest since they're saline-based (Orbit seats aside).Navnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-264294700715447531.post-9057254618325096942012-05-29T10:38:32.955-07:002012-05-29T10:38:32.955-07:00Does anyone know about the Fisher Price Rock N Pla...Does anyone know about the Fisher Price Rock N Play Sleepers? Any foam padding in those or should they be relatively low in chemicals? I really want to get one for baby #2 due in early November. I was thinking maybe if I get this summer and let it off gas outside and wash the removable cover a bunch of times, it would be pretty safe by November.Nicolenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-264294700715447531.post-41994881068458722282012-03-20T18:00:33.114-07:002012-03-20T18:00:33.114-07:00This is an excellent resource - thank you! If you only do one thing mentioned in this post, make it supporting toxic chemical reform (see the final bullet above)! Hopefully we won't have to navigate all this info about toxins in the future.Betsy Escandonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13598482569526345086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-264294700715447531.post-51803759573646140112012-03-16T09:07:38.486-07:002012-03-16T09:07:38.486-07:00It's overwhelming enough when we are new paren...It's overwhelming enough when we are new parents. Having to worry about all this extra stuff is over the top. It shouldn't be that way. Products should be safe. It's so helpful to have other parents who have done their homework (like you!) to guide us through the process. It's so true-by the third child the amount of products needed decreases!Lori Popkewitz Alper @ Groovy Green Livinhttp://groovygreenlivin.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-264294700715447531.post-87574177378787032392012-03-15T22:07:46.300-07:002012-03-15T22:07:46.300-07:00Thanks for the info on the cars eats.
